RIKEN BioResource Center (BRC) took over the project of the Sendai Arabidopsis Seed Stock Center (SASSC) and distributes approximately 400 lines of Arabidopsis natural accessions. To accelerate the genetic research of Arabidopsis natural accessions, we have generated the F2 population seed stocks by crossing the natural accessions in RIKEN BRC with two standard ecotypes, namely Columbia and Landsberg.

At the beginning, we selected about hundred natural accessions based on the SSRs genotype data, and F1 seeds were generated. The F2 population seeds were harvested by self-fertilization of the F1 plants and applied to SSRs genotyping. The crossed F2 population seeds that passed the SSRs genotyping are ready to distribute to the researchers.
